Fees

The Australian Association of Social Workers recommended hourly fee for Social Workers is currently set at $240 per hourly consult (January 2016).

My standard fees are $150 (per 50+ minute consultation) for private and Medicare clients.

Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan Initiative

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSW) are registered providers with Medicare Australia.  Like other allied health professionals, such as psychologists, AMHSW’s use a range of focussed psychological strategies as interventions in helping people with mental health disorders.

Clients who are referred by their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan can access Medicare rebates for 6 (+4), totalling 10 individual sessions per calendar year.  

On the basis of a standard fee of $150 (50+ minutes), and a rebate of $85.20, the out of pocket amount is: $64.80

I allocate a couple of spaces (to bulk-billing) to those less able to pay.

DVA Clients

We welcome DVA clients, DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.

FAS Clients

We welcome client of Victims of Crime, formerly VOCAT now Financial Assistance Scheme.

Limited health fund rebates are available through the following Health Funds:

Teachers Health, UniHealth & Nurses, and Nurses and Midwives Health

Cancellation Policy:

For new clients payment is required (via direct deposit) prior to first appointment, so as to confirm this booking.
